Admission requirement for the program is as follows:

  • 24 years of age or older
  • High school graduate
  • English language proficiency
  • Successful completion of Learning Assessment Seminar (see below)

In order to apply, you must follow these steps.

  1. Attend an information session at one of four Chicago-area DePaul campuses or online. For a schedule of upcoming sessions, visit http://depaul.edu/snlevents.

    Schedule an optional individual advising appointment to discuss program options and do a preliminary transcript analysis. To schedule an appointment either in person or by phone, please call (866) SNL-FORU.

  2. Complete an application. The application form can be downloaded from http://www.snlonline.depaul.edu/pdfs/Application.pdf . Or, you can apply online at http://depaul.edu/apply.

  3. Send all prior transcripts directly to DePaul in a sealed, official envelope. It is important that you also request a copy for your records as well. If you have not attended college in the past, please request that a copy of your high school transcripts be sent to DePaul.

  4. Register for the Learning Assessment Seminar (LAS) class designed to help you determine
    how your previous life and work experiences will transfer to your SNL degree. LAS is a four-week introductory course for which you will receive two credits and one competence. Registration for this seminar is open now.

  5. Be fully admitted to the degree-seeking program by completing the LAS, submitting official transcripts from prior colleges (if applicable), high school transcripts or a GED equivalency, and going through an admission interview in person or by phone.
